UML knowledge model for measurement process including uncertainty of measurement

Measurement technology has made an enormous progress in the last decade. With advent of knowledge representation, various object-oriented models for measurement systems have been developed past. Most common limitations all these were not incorporating uncertainty process. In this paper, we proposed model depicting information and flow process, including uncertainty. The three major object classes, namely planning, system analysis & documentation. These are further classified into sub-classes relationships amongst them. Attributes operations also defined within classes. This gives a practical conceptual view form object-model processes. A case study is presented which evaluates 100 mm gauge block, using both Type B evaluation methods GUM approach.This very similar to calibration CMM. can be converted semantic representation such as ontology process domain. Other use support quality engineering manufacturing industry research.
